Bookmarks Toolbar

The Toolbar Button is a link that you can add to your browser bookmarks bar (or links bar) that gives you access to the Toolbar. This allows you to quickly and easily translate, approve, and manage the translation for any page that you are browsing in your web browser.You may discover content on the web you think your audience may find interesting. Add this Bookmarklet to your browser so you can select that content and publish it back to Moderation Marketplace.

When making my custom bookmarks toolbar, I used the Firefox web browser but you can create a toolbar to use with any web browser and more importantly, you can have your bookmarks toolbar appear on any computer in the world you use. When your page is up on your screen, you should be able to see the small icon in the address bar which represents the web site.Now click and drag it to the blank part of the Bookmarks Toolbar and you are done.

If your toolbar is not enabled, click on the View menu at the top of the page and hover over the Toolbars menu option to see a fly-out menu with all of the different toolbars that Internet Explorer offers.A bookmarklet is a tiny JavaScript application which you can add to the browser toolbar for a more convenient way of adding your favorite websites to CURLS.


Harder working site icon retrieval - When looking for a Web sites icon, Finder Bookmarks checks for a link on the page itself. A bookmarklet called Scholar. It is a button installed on Internet Explorer or Firefox browser toolbar. The Scholar It! button provides a quick way to save bookmarks on Scholar while browsing the web. Click the button as you find interesting and relevant websites, and "Scholar It! ill save them to your Blackboard Scholar page.

The first step in creating your own custom website bookmarks toolbar is to start your web browser and open up the bookmarks or favorites menu. For this tutorial I'll be using the FireFox web browser but if you are using something else don't worry because just about everything will remain the same.


If you want to add a new folder, click on New Folder and enter the folder name. Firefox will create the new folder below the highlighted folder.To add a bookmark to the toolbar simply drag it to the toolbar and drop at an appropriate place. Tabs and links can also be dropped on the toolbar and when dropped result in the creation of new bookmarks if the appropriate pages are not bookmarked already.

Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar is a good place to save your most commonly used bookmarks. The easiest way to create a bookmark on your toolbar is to mark the site address (URL) and drag & drop it to the toolbar. Make sure that the Bookmarks Toolbar is displayed. Go to "View -> Toolbars" and, if "Bookmarks Toolbar" does not have a check mark, click on it to select the toolbar.

If the links bar is not enabled, then we'll enable it by selecting View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar, from the top menus; ensuring that there is a checkmark beside the Bookmarks Toolbar option. If Firefox's bookmarks toolbar is enabled, then you can move onto the next step.

If you want to rearrange the order of your toolbar bookmarks, simply drag & drop the bookmark from its old position to a new one. To do that, click on a bookmark and don't release the left mouse button until the arrow is where you want the bookmark to be.
